Inspection principle
Copper foil has low surface oxygen characteristics, can be attached to various substrates, such as metals, insulating materials, etc., and has a wide temperature range. Mainly used in electromagnetic shielding and anti-static. The conductive copper foil is placed on the surface of the substrate and combined with the metal base material. It has excellent conductivity and provides electromagnetic shielding effect. There will be some defects in the production process of copper foil. KEYE TECH has developed a surface defect inspection system for copper foil.
The system uses the "backlight" imaging method to perform real-time synchronous scanning through a CCD line-scan camera which installed on the production line. The CCD transmits the collected image data to the multi-function image processing software KVS-AI. Analyze and judge the surface image characteristics of copper foil through software. Real-time inspecting,sorting and processing of defects such as pinholes and edge cracks.

5. Positioning mark function
Every time a roll of product is produced, the system will automatically count the surface defects of this roll of product, and at the same time print out a statistical label, affix it to this roll of product, and distribute it to downstream users along with the product. In this way, users can grade the products through the labels on each roll of products, which can be effectively used to allocate different quality requirements.
6. Input and output alarm
When the system inspects a defect, it will give an audible and visual alarm, and other I/O outputs can also be added to the system.
7. Report statistics and printing
Report statistics and print the EXCEL defect list, which is convenient for users to do further inquire, analysis, and file create.
